Wilhelmina Harker Mitchell, Mina for short, was named after a Dracula character during a time when my parents were obsessed with the story. She is extremely hyper, and has a great nose. Her nose, however, often gets her into trouble because she likes to chase what she smells. We've had her since she was a puppy.
As a puppy, she did what most puppies do, and she did nothing but sleep, and eat, and cry. She often tripped, and her ears made her look like Dumbo. She enjoyed sleeping with me, and cried when she was away from me, or my mom.
As an older dog, she constantly runs off through holes in fences, can jump miles into the air (I swear), and always goes out of her way to hunt down every little thing. Because of this, she wears a chain whenever she is outside to keep her from getting hurt.
We call her Tripod now, as a joke, because she had to lose a leg after getting hit by a car. She doesn't care though, and she's even happier now that that leg isn't getting into her way! The first thing she did after coming back from the hospital was sit there and clean her butt.
