My lovely Oscar is special because he loves to snuggle. I got my dog from a neighbor when I lived in Singapore. Singapore is just one degree from the equator and it is oppressively hot. Now I live in New York so my boy is no longer overheated. Because of this, he is super affectionate. Binging on Netflix is heaven with my boy by my side.
Oscar also loves the Camera. He is super patient when posing for photos. And he has loves to act as well. My little boy has booked two commercials.
Oscar just turned six. He is my partner Michael's and my second dog. We moved from NYC to Singapore for work but we didn't bring our dog Trevor with us because Singapore had a six-month quarantine. We didn't want to put our little dog through that torture. So, we gave our dog to my Michael's mom in Vermont who he also loves.
Well, two years into Singapore and my Michael was really stressed out at work. And I thought that a dog may be what he needed. Later that week, I saw an ad at the local grocery store that my neighbor had a litter of puppies and asked if anyone wanted to buy one. That day we went to the building next to us and we fell in love with Oscar. He has been with us ever since. And Michael's stress level at work is way down.
Oscar is a poodle mix. Singapore is right on the equator so it is excruciating hot year round. Now, that we are back in New York and the weather is much cooler than Singapore, we've discovered that Oscar loves to snuggle. Mornings are the best because he loves to stay in bed so we spend a lot of time spooning him in bed. :) Oscar is affectionate with everyone he meets, Within minutes he would snuggle up to house guests, especially children. When watching TV, he will lie on your chest and patiently watches TV with you.
Oscar also loves his stuff animal toys. His favorite, however, is his best friend the kitty cat. He takes the cat everywhere with him. And at night, he brings the cat from the living room to the bedroom to sleep with him.
Tricks wise, Oscar can do the basic, sit, lie down, jump and touch. But what he loves to do is pose for photos. He can patiently sit while I compose a shot. His love of the camera has booked him two commercials and one print ad.
