Sophie is my spirit dog. She is the "one." I've loved many dogs, but I've never been so loved as I am by her. She is calm, reassuring and so, so tolerant. She has lived through surgeries to repair a broken knee, two eye surgeries, pancreatitis and, this past year, an auto-immune disease that almost took her from us. Through it all, she has kept her calm spirit.
In spite of it all Sophie has been through, she remains a happy patient to her vets and a Velcro companion to me. She is content to be wherever I am, especially if it's on the bed. I adore my Sophie, and she returns every bit of love right back.
