Wedowee is our new rescue puppy. She was in sad shape when we got her, but is already much better. She had her three-week recheck with Dr. Vince yesterday and he was impressed by all her improvement. She's now 12 weeks old.
She got her next set of vaccines, she went from 9.5lbs to 14.5lbs, her crusty bumps are gone, her intestinal parasites are gone, her bald spots are almost gone, she has al kinds of new hair growth, her skin infection/body odor has decreased a lot. Her "must eat" craziness has not slowed down. I'm hoping in time she will realize that food will always be given to her and hope her worry of no food will fade.
She has learned to walk on a leash but being on a leash is not her favorite thing. She also knows sit, stay out of the kitchen, and leave it. House training is slow but going well, with few mistakes.
Wedowee is a sweet love, playful, and a true puppy who at times is a total nut case, and is teething now, too. Most of the time she's rather quiet but don't be fooled, because she can scream/bark to the extreme when she thinks she is alone or is put to bed. Those tantrum times are short lasting but it is still intense and ear piercing.
I will never be able to change the past, my dear Bullet fills my heart and my tears. I know time, just a lot of time will help us heal. For me acceptance/understanding/forgiveness is a real struggle, I pray a lot for strength. We have had some closure, a beautiful rainbow and I still like to believe Bullet had a hand in us finding her/her finding us. As she grows and heals, I know Bullet is watching over her from heaven.
