Elsa came from a shelter five years ago, as a dog named Snowflake. Elsa is the mom of the house. If I move into another room I can count about five seconds and expect to hear her pawsteps as she comes to see where I am. She loves meeting new people, and on dog walks her natural smile makes people instantly break into their own smile. Her face exudes "Hi! How are you? I'm so excited to see you!"
Elsa really, really, really loves meeting new dogs. She's kind of a play bully, constantly getting in other dogs' faces, barking and trying to entice them to play with her. Mostly they are annoyed, but she is too oblivious and excited to notice. Her dog park energy and her white hair belie her 12 years of age, she can't help her inner puppy from coming out.
As much as Elsa follows me around the house, she is equally happy to ditch me at the dog park in order to join another dog's family. Sometimes I call her from a distance and she'll stop, look at me, then look at the other dog, then look at me, and then usually, go run to the other dog! She is also a helpful "assistant" in the kitchen as well as a food hound on walks, snagging any edible remnants left on the ground. Most importantly she loves being a good dog and hanging out with her dad.
