This is my dog Balto, and he's four years old. He is a Malamute mix, with what we don't know, due to how we got him.
This is the first time I've had a Malamute mix. I've had dogs all my life, but this pup has been an experience from day one. My husky mix is the one that brought him to me. Since I live out in the country, I unfortunately come across a lot of unwanted dogs that people dump. It was love at first sight. I did try and find who he belonged to as it was clear he was house broken. He didn't have a chip and everywhere I posted his info to find his owner no one claimed him. He grew attached to me and my other dog so I decided to keep him.
He is the sweetest dog I've ever had, always has to be right be my side. He loves hugs and belly rubs. Balto even gets along with my cat Phaedra, I've got videos of them playing together in the yard. His favorite toy is a giant squeaky tennis ball. He also has some of the best facial expressions I've ever seen on a dog. He even models for me from time to time, I love nothing more than sharing his goofiness with everyone. Don't let his playfullness fool you, he's extremely protective of his family.
