This is Jet. He's a five-year-old Border Collie. He's also the world's first qualified Collie Mechanic. He lives in Upper Hutt, Wellington.
Jet is my first Border Collie. I've wanted one ever since I saw Footrot Flats, the movie. I got him at seven weeks old and he's been coming with me to work ever since. I've even printed a certificate to show he's a qualified Collie mechanic. All our customers love him and some come in just to see him.
We've done Obedience, but everyone says I'm holding him back in the ring, Not cool when your dog is smarter than you! His favourite things - apart from me - are sticks and balls,which he would chase all day if I would let him.. He also loves swimming and we go most days after work for a dip. By the way, his hourly rate to fix your car is two t-bone steaks, two salmon fillets and ten minutes of cuddles.
He knows lots of tricks, like he plays dead if you pretend to shoot him. also he knows all the names of his toys and always gets what you ask him to. But his best trick, although its been awhile, is he can read. I hold paper up with words like Sit or Down, and he does it without me saying a word.
