Our dog's name is Thunder. He was 13 years old in this picture. He was a mixed breed of Doberman Pincher, German Shepherd and Husky. We liked to refer to him as our "pound puppie" as that is where we got him from, the local animal shelter. We live in Maine and Thunder did well in all of the seasons. We own and operate a small restaurant and motel and Thunder was often the calling card that brought families back as the children want to see Thunder!! Thunder loved to ride - any car was considered fair game for him!
As age took its toll on our pet, he had to be put on various medications for arthritis and other maladies. Thunder had the uncanny ability to eat and swallow whatever the pill was "hidden" in and then spit out the pill. On some occasions he would actually wait for me to turn my back and then discard the nasty tasting pill. He eventually succumbed to the ravages of illness and age, but will live on forever in our hearts, and many guests' hearts as well.
