These are pictures of Maggie. She is supposedly a miniature German Shepherd. She is likely a mix of German Shepherd and some smaller breeds - maybe even Chihuahua or some terrier - especially with that soft coat of hers and huge ears. She was found hog tied in a heavy downpour in Griffith Park at the approximate age of three months.
I adopted her from a rescue group when she was five months old. She was very untrustworthy of anyone at first, but with a lot of love and attention, she is now MY dog and very protective of me. She had been in three other homes before I got her, so I knew it might take some time for her to adjust and settle in. After all this abuse, she is a loving, sweet dog.
Maggie is now eight years old, but was eight months old or so - best guess - in these pictures. She is most special because even after all her abuse she went through, she still gives us love. Winning her trust was worth every minute.
