This is my girl Maya. She is so special because my husband of 41 years passed away and I decided I needed a dog for company. I saw a picture of her on our local animal shelter website and I knew she was the one. Something told me that my husband wanted me to rescue her.
I went to visit her and she stole my heart. I have never seen such a sweet, gentle creature. All she wants from me is love and she gets alot of that. Needless to say I took her home with me that day. I've only had her for a short time, so far, and she is just precious. I knew I had to have a gentle dog because I have grandchildren. She certainly fits that picture because even my three-year-old grandchild that was afraid of dogs just adores her. She is the best little girl ever.
