Blacky is my German Shepherd puppy. He is technically a dog and all grown up, but still is a puppy in terms of energy and personality. People sometimes ask if he is a mixed breed because of his being extra fluffy, especially his ears, but he is all German Shepherd on his family tree, going back many generations. And it helps him stay warm here in Nepal!
He was nearly all black when I got him as a roly poly little ball, but his markings got lighter and more tan appeared as he grew up. But he already was used to the name, so it stayed. He is smart, and does have a loud voice, but only uses it when he feels it is important. When he wants a treat, he will "talk" to me, or when he wants a walk, or to play, but actual barking is rare. I look forward to many years ahead with my handsome boy, he's the best.
