My
dog's name is Sake (pronounced like the rice wine). She is six years old
and is a Shiba Inu. Sake is special because she is one of the most gentle
dogs you'll ever meet. My father brought her home from a household where she
was abused, so we like to call her our rescue dog. We love her so much and
she has brought much joy into our lives.
When she first meets a person, she gets really excited and jumps around while
wagging her bun shaped tail. She loves attention, especially when there are
large numbers of people over at the house. She tends to be quiet usually, but
when she sees something she's interested in, she does bark but it's sort of a
half bark, half howl commonly known as the "Shiba scream." Her mannerisms are
sometimes almost cat-like because of how she sits, and because of her
independent attitude, cleanliness routine, and rough tongue. I feel those
traits make her unique compared to most dogs. We love her very much!
