Duchess
is a long-haired, white German Shepherd. She is special because,
while she is an excellent guard dog, she is still very gentle, especially
with children. I once had my cousin at my house, who was four at the time,
and he got sick. Duchess stayed by his side, with her head resting beside
him, until his mom came to pick him up. Though her color is rare, what
really makes her special is how much she means to me and my family!
She is very sweet, and loves to be around other people. She's quite the
opposite of independent! She wants to always be with other dogs and
people. While I'm still training her new tricks, I have taught her simple
tricks, such a "shake." More than anything, duchess loves children. Her
eyes light up when she meets a child, and she brings them a toy to play a
game of fetch or tug-of-war every time. As a puppy, her best friend was a
goat. To this day, she loves goats.
