Bruce
is a retired racing Greyhound who was taken off the track in Kansas
with a broken hock. But by the time my husband and I adopted him, he was in
perfect condition, ready for the good life, and immediately became close to
Minnie, our other retired racer.
We've had many dogs, including five Greyhounds, and all were different and
much loved. But Bruce is still our baby and as sweet as a dog can be.
Bruce loves going to Greyhound meet and greets and having guests come to our
house with their dogs. He also loves his daily walks, which usually are
around lakes. And as a greyhound, he does not have much fur, so always wears
his fleece when he goes outside in the Minnesota winter! He loves car rides.
If he gets two or three rides a day, it's like winning the jackpot. He also
loves his many stuffies and snuggles with them during naps.
