Rosie
the squirrel chasing, ball fetching, adventure loving Shiba Inu stole
our hearts the minute we brought her home. We could tell that she was super
smart at just two months old when we got her. Within a week she knew how to
sit, lay down, roll over and shake. Admittedly, sometimes she is a little too
smart for her own good.
She loves to chase pesky squirrels, bunnies, chipmunks, anything that moves.
Rosie loves to go on hikes and backpacking adventures into the Washington
mountains. Of course she leads the way for us and if a critter should cross
our path, she will leap off the trail in hot pursuit-not to worry though, she
is leashed and harnessed to keep her safe.
Rosie's favorite game is "kick the pinecone" which has earned her the
nickname "pinecone princess." Whenever we are on a walk and we cross paths
with a pinecone, she will stop two paces ahead and wait for me to kick the
pinecone and pounce on it! Let's just say she would make a really good goalie.
Rosie loves to be chased at the dog park and wrestle. She also is a cuddle
bug. Sometimes she likes to come into our bedroom in the middle of the night
and put her paws up next to our heads and gives a little whimper asking "can
I snuggle too mom and dad?"
Our family wouldn't be complete without her and she is the perfect companion to our adventures.
