Lucius,
Lou Lou for short, is our Black Lab. I don't even think a page could
contain how special Lucius is to my entire family. He was twice not wanted at
the shelter where my parents adopted him from. It took a long time for him to
get used to love and to trust. But years later he has saved our hearts. He is
the best dog we could ever have asked for. He lights up a room with his
energy and his excitement. He so loving and so cuddly! My seven-year-old
daughter considers him her brother the two of them are attached at the hip.
This dog has been there for us all when we've been sad and stressed he is not
a dog he is not a pet he is our family. It's exactly like the saying goes who
rescued who, and I know without a doubt Lucius rescued my family!!!
Lucius is super affectionate he loves his chew toys! His favorite chew toy is
his stuffed animal dog which we all call Debbie! And if you ask him, "Where's
Debbie," he goes and brings you his doggie! He knows how to sit, stay, and
catch treats and food in the air. He also loves the water him and my daughter
play in the pool when it's warm out nonstop! He loves the snow just the other
day we were throwing snowballs in the air and he was catching them! My
daughter loves to play dog show dog with him she puts his little leash on and
runs with him through the living room tells him to sit gives them a treat
tells him to spin around he does that she gives him another treat and she
walks out the room we pretend that they're the dog show champion! He does not
like to be by himself and he loves attention, He loves affection! He loves
to sit on your lap, to sit next to you on the couch - anywhere you are that's
where Lucius is! He also loves hide the treat. He tears his chew toys up so
fast, so what my dad does is he takes the chew toy and stuffs dog treats in
it and then he chews the toy till he gets the treats! He also loves to
sunbathe when it's warm out, or the sun is shining he just sprawls out and
lets the sun hit him! He is probably the worst beggar dog possible. If you
have food or he hears you open something, he will sit there and drool on your
lap! But we have no one to blame but ourselves since we give him scraps here
and there! He literally is just the best he's an awesome dog and that's why
we love him so much.
