My husband and I first met Chico while he was in quarantine with a local rescue after being found on the streets as a stray. We were all a bit nervous and fearful, especially Chico.
We had decided to adopt another Chihuahua after our beloved Roxie Jazz, who was 15 1/2 years old, recently passed away. We were heartbroken over the loss, but we knew we could offer a good, safe and loving home to another dog who needed one. Chico is extremely affectionate with us, however he is still very fearful of meeting new people, especially men. Unfortunately, we do not have any history or any background on him to understand why this is, but we're working on it.
He is such a smart boy who has mastered many commands such as sit, stay, down, roll over and he gives you his paw when asked. He loves his daily walks and is excited to play with his neighbor friends, Gabbi and Ted, every day. He has brought so much joy to our home the time he has been with us, and we're excited to make more memories together in the years to come. We are so thankful that this little guy came into our lives and he has forever left his paw print on our hearts.
