Kai is a huge sweet heart, she loves giving kisses and enjoys any toy she can get her mouth on. We adopted her from the shelter when she was two months old, she was such a tiny little puppy. She was found roaming the streets alone with her siblings, her mother was no where to be found. The shelter wasn't sure of her history other than the fact she was a stray. The best guess at her breed mix is Pit bull, German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, but we do not know for certain, or does it matter!
My sister and I were simply visiting the shelter to kill time, but when we saw her and one of her brothers, we fell in love. Naturally we visited with both of the puppies, gauging their personalities for our life. Kai was so shy and sweet, simply sitting in my lap and clinging on as if her life depended on it. The entire first two days she just cuddled and wanted to be with me. She slept a lot, the stress can do that to a dog. But she finally started to branch out, she wanted to play with our other dogs, she loved visiting the cat, she loved belly rubs and toys.
She has continued to blossom into such a sweetie. Heavy pawed but with much love to give, Kai always lays underneath pillows and cuddles. Her listening skills are always impressive, but she's a tough nut to crack when it comes to training. She knows how to sit and lay down, but her mind is always running a mile a minute. Despite her small attention span I couldn't ask for a better dog. I've never been allowed to have a pit bull and even though she's a mutt, she definitely helps show how sweet the breed is. She has the signature block head that I adore so much and all she wants to do is get attention and become friends with everyone. Every animal she's met she's loved. Cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, you name it and she'll be in love. She has that affect on me, the moment I saw her I was in love. She makes me happy when I'm down, she takes away the anxiety and depression. Kai is a little piece of heaven, my reason to smile, my baby.
