Jasper came in to our lives nine years ago. He'd had a couple of different owners in his early like and was a bit of a handful with the crazy spaniel in him. We already had a Springer Spaniel called Hartson, we'd had him since he was 8 weeks old and his was coincidentally the same age as Jasper (just two months older. Jasper made his presence known on day one by burying Hartson's favourite teddy in the back garden :-)
He is like a puppy and was a bit much for Hartson at some times but he continued to terrorise him and eventually they became best friends and Jasper settled himself into our family as if we'd always had him. Fast forward nine years and Hartson sadly passed away from a long battle with lymphoma in December 2020. Jasper has been sad ever since. He is lonely and misses his "big brother." He is so loveable and has the biggest brown eyes whose sad expression gets him whatever he wants. He has many different looks and often looks like a different dog depending on whether he's happy/sad or has had a hair cut.
He's lost a bit of his sparkle since Hartson passed and to be honored would just be wonderful and would show him how adored he is. His Twitter handle is @cancerdoggy which was originally Hartsons Twitter which Jasper now manages in his honour.
