Alex
is our fifth rescue and the goofiest Goldie we have ever had and the
biggest!. He flies down the stairs in the mornings and has a funny habit of
kicking his legs up as he turns the corner.
He loves nothing better than leaning into to you to be petted or spooning to
be cuddled. We also found out shortly after we got him that he loves the
water and jumped into the river. It was a challenge to get him to come back
to the shore. He loves everyone he comes in contact with and he favorite
times are visiting our daughter so that he can play with his cousin Wilson
and girlfriend Josie.
Alex was Mr July for the rescue calendar this year. The picture with the
flags was the photo selected, it was for As Good as Gold rescue, in Warrenville, Illinois.
Our son Andrew brings over his buddy, Simon, a Jack Russell and they tug and
play and run around our yard. When I leave for work he will slowly creep up
on our love seat to snooze thinking that no one will know. He knows our
routines and as soon as we start to go upstairs for the night, he flies up
knowing that we will bring a few treats for him. He has taken to sprawling
out the floor at night sticking his head under the bed, silly boy!
Alex, simply, is just Alex, lovable and simply fills our hearts and lives with joy!
