This
is Trudi, she is a Bernese Mountain Dog (a Swiss breed). In Italy
it's the name of most famous brand of stuffed animals for children. I
christened her as such because when I got her, 2 months old, she was so
fluffy and soft... Actually, this breed's puppies look more like teddy
bears rather than dogs. The nickname stuck.) In these pictures she's five months old.
What makes her special to me most is her face. Maybe it is because of
the distinctive copper spots upon the eyes that look like raised
eyebrows, or the fact that, like any puppy, she's constantly running,
playing, exploring, tumbling around, but she always looks happy. She
looks up, with her tongue lolling out, panting and out of breath, and I
see the purest happiness in her chocolate brown eyes - a feeling I've
yet to see in any humans, not even little children. I love her very, very much!
