We
adopted Raphy a year ago this Christmas. He's two years, old, almost three, and
is a very special guy. Our family discussed adopting another dog after we
learned that our baby girl, Squirt (chihuahua/min pin mix), was sick and
probably wouldn't make it the next year. We had always talked getting her a
brother or sister, so we moved quickly. Sadly this past January we lost our
little Squirt. We were all heart broken, but I think I was broken the most.
Raphy stayed next to me for days and days. He knew I was hurting and missing
his sister. We have gotten stronger together!
He's a great li'l guy. He loves to play games, one we call Find It. You hide
his toy, tell him to find it and off he goes! He always comes back with his
hidden toy! This guy can sit, stay, lay down, roll over, speak, shake, high
five, and army crawl! All of which he can do while wearing his favorite
sweater! Poor thing is always cold! Don't worry, he does have fur, just not
much! He's as hyper as can be, but at night he sure does love to cuddle!
Today we are also happy to say that Raphy is still a great brother, this time
he's the big brother to his sister Baby who we adopted a few months ago.
