This
is Abby, our Sheltie/Dachshund mix. My girlfriend and I got her five months
ago, from an Animal Rescue Organisation. She was saved from a animal killing
facility in Croatia. When we first met her, Abby was very shy and could not
trust anyone, because of her previous experiences. It took some time to build
up some confidence, but today she is full of love.
Every day when we wake up, Abby stands infront of the bedroom, waiting to
welcome us. Then she runs and jumps around, tail-wagging and looking forward
to something happening. Abby is so grateful for the new Home we gave her. She
is a powerful and joyful dog, and shows it every day. Abby gives everything
we ever gave her back to us twice, and this makes her to the most special dog
I have ever known.
