Hello,
my name is Angel. I was found as a stray and started my life in the
Broome County Animal Shelter in Binghamton, New York. I once had a family but for
whatever the reason was they couldn't keep me and I had to go back. When I
met my current family they had come to the shelter to scritch some puppy ears
because the puppy that lived with them had to go to the Rainbow Bridge and
they were missing her terribly. The other puppy had only been gone for about
a week and they weren't expecting to meet a new family member so soon but I
was very good with their kids and very happy and playful and they said if Mom
liked me I knew I had a new home. Mom came to meet me and I was excited but
pretty well behaved. (I listened when she told me to sit.) And next thing I
knew my new family came to take me home a week later.
I love to play with the cat in the family and he occasionally will tell me
when he's had enough. My new kids take me for walks around the yard all the
time and I don't like to be outside by myself so when they put me on my run
they stay outside with me. I love to play with my rope and I have learned to
take the knots out of the rope so it looks like I'm playing with a big mop. I
also love tennis balls! Not only do I like to chase them but I also like to
chew on them until they pop and then I them I take them apart. I also like to
use them as a pacifier and I fall asleep while a family member holds it and
pulls on it gently.
I like to bark at the horses and cows that live near by and spook the deer
from their beds out behind our pond. I try to put some make-up on for my
pictures but my mascara never comes out right. I also have a lovely white
muzzle with a racing stripe on my head. Mom and Dad are amused that when the
other puppy was here there was a black and white theme as one of the cats was
black and white too, and now that I'm here we have a tan and white theme
since the other cat is tan and white. My kids say that I'm the peanut butter
and butter sandwich chasing the fluff-a-nutter sandwich (the cat). Life is good here.
