Copper
has been through a lot. He is a rescue dog out of Georgia, and as he
is a Labrador, Coonhound mix, we say he is a "Labrahound." Copper was hit by
a car, found his way to a Realtor's office where they thankfully took him to
the local vet. He had a broken leg, broken teeth, heartworm and parasites.
Recovery took awhile but he was a real trooper. Then he came to live with us
up here in New Jersey. We got Copper from 11th Hour Rescue.
One of his talents is opening the door and letting
himself back in after going outside. The only problem is he doesn't close the
door behind him. We're working on that.
Copper also warns us when the wildlife comes near. We live in New Jersey and
the hound dog in him really comes out when the deer and bear pass through the
yard. Lots of hound dog howling erupts. He is a true member of the family and
my son's best buddy. We were very lucky to find him.
