Sammi is my girlfriend and my first dog together. We've had her since
she was born, and she is the cutest and most affectionate dog I've
ever known. She likes to snuggle with us before bed and after we wake
up for a few hours, and she won't start the day without a tummy rub.
Routine is very important, she feels.
We walk Sammi down to a nearby field almost every day for a nice long
session of fetch, and we love to take her on long nature walks in the
local park where she can run off the leash. She loves to run ahead of
us and ensure that the trail is clear of any offending squirrels or
tennis balls that may be out to get us. She also likes to play with
her new younger cousin, who is a husky and already about twice her
size. She is faster, though, so he always gets a run for his money.
