We adopted Neko from a rescue in Pennsylvania six years ago after we lost our beloved Simon. Neko had a litter of super cute puppies, and we went to adopt one of those, but fell in love her instead! We are not quite sure how old she is, but we think somewhere around eight years old.
Her name was originally Cookie, but we changed it to Neko because we had heard that the name should sound somewhat like the name she came with and that was the closest we could come up with. Neko traveled cross country with us when we moved from Pennsylvania to California three years ago. She has also been to the beach and the mountains. She loves walks and hikes. She tolerates getting dressed up in costumes, which is more than some dogs will do. She hates thunder.
Neko is more of a "people" dog than a dog's dog. She loves children the most and big dogs the least. She is a wonderful and loyal companion to our eight-year-old daughter; she sleeps in her bed until she falls asleep every night. She is special to all of us.
