Giorgio is a lovable, high-energy rescue dog who survived a truck ride from Los Angelos to Portland Oregon and won my heart last January at a pet store and doggie day care which sponsored pets through the Itegon Humane Society. I saw a dog on the street with its owner one day after I had been contemplating getting a new dog after my Westie Matilda had to be out down in 2014 at 18 years of age. A pet psychic told me that Matilda had wanted me to get another dog, so I had been looking around when I visited Lexi Dog a doggie day care center and pet shop in my area, and saw a photo of my Giorgio.
An hour later I returned and immediately fell in love with Giorgio when he jumped up on the couch in the "meet and greet" room and covered me with wet kisses. We both fell in love right then and there. We do not know his exact age, but he is probably about two years old. The next day Giorgio started to exhibit symptoms of kennel cough and within a few days he was diagnosed with pneumonia. I nursed him through his illness to good health and he was my support system through my soon-to-be-divorced state.
Giorgio is my best photo candidate for candid shots and as I am an avid photographer, he has graced my Instagram account, a press release I did with him and my boyfriend writer Bill Johnson, as well as inspired my new Etsy site named after him GuorgioModetne, which features artwork I have done of cats and dogs. In short, Giorgio continues to inspire and serve as my muse for my artwork, photos, and writing.
