Introducing Oliver Queen, Ollie for short. Originally, before I got my Ollie, I had a gorgeous red/rust female European Doberman, her name was Whiskey. Sadly, when she was two, she passed away due to cardiomyopathy (a congenital heart disease) and that day broke my heart. About a week in my sorrow and sadness, my mother suggested a new dog. Considering how broken I was without my dog; especially since she was my first one, my mom knew how tough losing a pet was.
So I began to search. It took me a few days before I found an ad for gorgeous Doberman puppies, a mix between European and American lines, of all colors. I thought I had fallen in love with the blue female there, but someone bought her right as I met her, which saddened me. So I looked to the other puppies, and pondered if I even wanted a puppy now. But before I could choose a pup at random, the sweetest of the males, my Oliver, came up to me, and sat firmly on my lap.
What I found oh-so-adorable was that he barked and snapped at the other pups, clearly telling them that I belonged to him now. So three weeks later, the little rascal has been living with me, occasionally showing his teeth to smile, and wiggling his little nub faster than a propeller. I'll always remember and love my Whiskey, and Oliver is here to keep me in check as my new emotional support animal, and so far, he's doing great!
