Hi, my name is Glaid. I didn't have a very good start in life as I was rescued from a farmer's shed with my four litter siblings at four months old, at that point I hadn't even seen the light of day. I was then taken to the SPCA Welfare Centre at the Scottish Borders. I was re-homed but things didn't work out so I returned. Luckily my new owners had been looking on the SPCA website for a boxer dog for their friend and spotted me, as they already had a border collie and a border/beardie cross they thought I would make a nice addition to their family and came to see me, of course the fell for me right away (thank goodness). They had brought Twix and Rolo with them to meet me, they just ignored me and I was a bit nervous at first but that was ok.
Two weeks later they came to collect me. I was terrified in the car on the way to my new home and when I got there they put me in a cage at night, I hated it so looked really scared and they soon let me stay in the kitchen with Twix and Rolo. I had three horses and four cats to get used to as well as the dogs, but it didn't take me long and I now round them all up and stalk them constantly, I think I am a pain when I do that but I just can't help myself. I love my home now, I have been here just over a year, we go really long walks and runs in the car, us animals even have our own flap to come in and out whenever we please, it's great. This is a photo of me at Balmaha near Loch Lomond in Scotland. When Mummy and Daddy had to have the oldest horse put to sleep we went there for the day to get away from everything.
