Daisy was in a kill shelter in West Virginia on the list to be euthanized. A rescue group from Pennsylvania had her saved and transported her here. We were looking for a puppy and got an email describing the dogs that were being rescued. We went to look at her and fell in love with her and adopted her.
Two days after we had her home we started to notice she was lethargic. We took her to a vet and found out she had the Parvo virus. This is a really serious disease for puppies and she was a really sick girl. They could not treat her there so I had to rush her to nearby vets and finally found someone who would take her. She was almost dead in my arms and we did not think she was going to make it. She was in the animal hospital for five days and pulled through.
She is a wild, crazy girl now - her energetic Scottie side definitely prevails - and we love her. She adds so much to our lives and is the most loyal dog we ever had. She follows us everywhere. She had escaped death twice and we are blessed to have her.
