Mickey
is my first American Staffordshire Terrier but not my first dog. The
family missed the first dog we had, and I always liked this breed. Since I
was older and had the free time, we decided to get a Staffie (me, my brother
and father, mom was not really into it). Some searching led to a litter of
puppies, he was the fattest and fastest to the food bowl so we got him. He's
a gentle, loving dog. He likes to meet other dogs and people. He also likes
kisses and nibbling on ears. He always wants to play, he takes his toy to
everyone who comes visit.
That puppy picture was taken when he was about four months old, he was very cute
when he was small. Everyone would flip over him. He knows quite a lot of
tricks now: sit, down, stand, stay, crawl, come, heel, shake/high five, etc.
He doesn't really have a favorite game to play, I think he loves the forest
very much and I always feel like he is very happy when we are walking there.
He's very affectionate and sometimes independent, but has never, ever caused
trouble. He really likes to befriend other dogs and humans, he is mostly a
big softie. We all love him!
