Our sweet Nelli has been the biggest light to our family. She has brought us so much joy, love, laughs, and snuggles ever since she was a puppy. She knows how to bring comfort when someone is sick by laying right next to them. She knows how to have fun by always being ready for a game of fetch with her favorite tennis ball! She also loves her stuffed bunny rabbit and pound puppy. Even at eight years old, she is as energetic as she was when she was much younger. She is our little nugget of love, which is how she got her nickname, "Nugget."
For almost a year now, she has been a huge source of comfort. I was diagnosed with MS last year and she always sits right next to me when I have to self administer my medicine through an injection. She never leaves my side. Through all of the tests, pain, and difficult moments, I always have her to comfort me.
Every morning, I can find her at the foot of someone's bed (usually my parents), sleeping in like a little teenager. She loves running around outside, barking at the neighborhood dogs and defending "her kingdom" a.k.a. the backyard. Every day is a new adventure for her. She loves unconditionally and experiences life in the moment. She's the sweetest and happiest girl who just wants to be with the ones she loves. And I hope she knows just how much we love her back.
