Oscar has more personality than should ever fit into such a small package. He rules our roost, for sure. He is even the boss of his 60-pound brother, who is a Labrador mix.
When we went to pick Oscar up, he was ten weeks old and covered in fudge- a two-year-old with sticky hands had been playing with him. We fell in love with him immediately and from the first night, he loved to lay on his paw-rents chests and cuddle up for a nap. He is very affectionate. Almost too affectionate- if your hands are too full to pet him, he might nudge whatever you are holding out of them with his nose and demand a scratch on the head.
Oscar also thinks he is a cat. He loves to curl up in a ball and his favorite place in the house is on top of our behind-the-couch table. We often joke, referencing Parks and Recreation, "Any dog under 50 pounds is a cat." That holds true for this guy. He desperately wants to be friends with the cats he encounters, but they are not usually too interested in him.
Oscar is spoiled. He is a king in his castle and demands only the finest things in life- we joke around that he should have moved in with a very wealthy family- maybe royalty would be a good fit!
He is the light of our lives and has brought so much joy not only to the humans in our home, but also to our older dog who now has a best friend to play with every day. All day. Loudly!
