is special, mostly because I had rescued her from a life on a four foot
chain. She has been in my life for about four years now, she's a very sweet
little lady that has almost human-like manners! She has this very intent
listening face like she understands what I'm telling her. She won't chew on a
bone or play with a toy unless her buddy chews it first or shows any interest
what-so-ever. She loves to snooze in the sunlight on the carpet and has to
always be under foot. She loves to go on long walks and explore every chance
she gets, because of that hound dog nose of hers she always seems to discover
something. She has this special way of telling me when she wants to walk, or
when she needs to go outside just to do her business. And when she's super
excited to see me in the morning she dances and turns circles in either
direction. Some nights when I start cooking dinner she will lay in the
kitchen and watch me and I'll start to talk to her and she'll stand up and wiggle.
She has this long powerful tail and when it wags it takes her whole back end
to move it then she'll dance around turning circles and talk to me! Muttering
and little yips and woofs and when I ask her "What is it? Tell me" she howls
with such a voice it makes me laugh every time. And when she knows I'm sad
she will come to lay at my feet and roll over onto her back for me to rub her
belly. Nothing cheers me up more than this silly girl on her back wiggling
her tail and back end with her big floppy ears spread all on the floor almost
like she's being a goof just to get me to laugh. After a long day at work I
can come home and take her outside to a special spot and take her leash off
and watch her just run in circles! Big circles around me and all I have to do
is praise her and laugh. She really is my best friend!
