Hi,
my name is Mabel Katherine Minor. I am a fierce survivor and protector
of my family, especially my girl, who sleeps in my bed every night and
opens the bedroom door at five in the morning so that mom and dad can do my
bidding as nature calls. "It's all about the Schnauzer..." The world
revolves around me, and without my existence, gravity would cease in our
household. This is why it was so important that I survived cancer when I
was three years old and a few brushes that seemed like emergencies, but were
my simple way of showing the household who should have their attention at
all times. They are well trained and I do it because I love them. And boy
do they love me.
My girl and I are deeply connected and loyal to each other. We confer
together on important details of the house, and last year we allowed mom
to marry a new dad. He walks me and feeds me bacon, so he can't be all
bad. Still, I am watching him carefully to make sure he protects my girl.
Though I would not admit it, I trust mom to make the right decisions for
me, though I reserve the right to give her the stink-eye when she does
things I don't enjoy. She watches me extremely carefully and screams my
name every day when she comes home. I like that - but I especially like it
when she makes funny noises while writing checks for my care. She's
adorable. Again - It's all about the Schnowzzzz.
Mabel is actually quite healthy for the diligent care of her mother. She
had a cancer scare at age three - miracle story. She has survived Gall
Stones, fatty tumor removal, Melanoma on her eye is the most recent. The
vet offered to buy her ... "The best schnauzer he ever met." She's a
remarkable girl and has been a central part of the household for a long time.
