Shasta
is a pitbull cross from the SPCA. When we adopted her, she was a
puppy and was recovering from a hernia. She was scared of people because
she had been mistreated and hid under the sofa. Now, she loves people and
has found a way to trust them again. She is the most beautiful,
forgiving, affectionate dog you will ever meet. She will bark and rapidly
wag her tail whenever someone passes the house. If they come to the
house, then Shasta will not stop wagging her tail and she will follow the
person until they sit down. Once they are seated, she will climb on top
of them and give them a huge hug. During the period of time that the
person is sitting, Shasta will also be attempting to kiss them, showing a
constant adoration for people. Also, Shasta has stunning, massive,
unique ears and has gorgeous golden fur.
Shasta does love to greet everyone, and she always brings them her
favourite bone. She is very protective and despite being 58 pounds (26 kg), thinks
she is a lap dog. She has the longest tongue and can kiss you from the
other side of the sofa. She loves to play ball, but will never bring the
ball back. If she needs something, she'll poke you in the arm until you do
it. She's super strong and she'd love to be a sled dog. She loves all
weathers. She sunbathes in the summer and dives head first into the snow
in the winter. She knows the usual tricks like sit, lie down, and shake a
paw. She's a wonderful dog!
