Whiskey
the greyhound is a rescue. He is a gentle soul and very loved. Whiskey
entered the Paasche family five years ago. Becky, Whiskey's mom did extensive
research on what pet to bring into the home that was best suited for their
family. The breed that came up, which surprised all who know her, was a
greyhound. After a serious exam of the family's worthiness to own a greyhound
Golden State rescue granted adoption rights to the eager family. All the
goodies were purchased to welcome the new addition who was being fostered by
the rescue group straight from the race track.
Though unfamiliar with living arrangements with humans especially small ones
who would do group hugs on him Whiskey quickly settled into his new luxurious
life. He was and is still pampered up to this day, with all his humans seeing
to his every need.
Even his cousin Bella, another rescue, donated some of her stuffed animals
which he now has dragged to various parts of the house like the child he is
quite pleased with himself.
Taking walks is high on his list. He will actually rouse himself out of a
deep sleep to gallop towards the door when a walk is offered and gives
reminders if his humans are slow in providing his daily walk. He is a die
hard camper and insists that they camp every summer. He has his own camping
sweater which he swears makes him look even more handsome than he is. I tend
to agree. He is quite the fashion plate. He is also a social butterfly, and a leaner.
Through the pictures you can see his beautiful soulful eyes. He is a kind,
gentle soul and we all love him.
