Bingo was the very first dog that was actually mine, and I got him for Christmas back in 2009. Due to being in London that Christmas, I didn't get him in the flesh and blood, instead I had a envelope that stated 'To Open Last.' When I did open it, I pulled out several photos of puppy Bingo along with a blue dog collar and lead. Several days later when we returned home, we picked him up, my first ever best friend.
Throughout the years Bingo has always been there for me. I trained him myself, with no help, and now he knows over 10 tricks! He's a very sweet boy, and loves attention! He gets along with just about anybody, animal or human. He has always slept on my bed with me, at the start because he wouldn't stay quiet at night as a puppy, but now it's become a nightly thing where he sleeps right beside me, head on pillow, and even under the covers!
He is protective of me, and sometimes that can be a pain despite how much I love him! I remember last year when I got stung by a weeverfish while on the beach with some friends and Bingo, and we had to get a lifeguard to come help me. Bingo kept chasing him away (he wouldn't hurt them), even when they were on a quad bike!
Now, at six years old (he will turn seven this November) he is the best dog I could ever ask for, and is definitely my best friend and a member of the family. I can't imagine my life without him.
