My name is Cedric and I'm a Pit Bull. My mom saw me at a shelter the day after Christmas. She didn't really want another dog that day because she was sad about her last dog crossing the Rainbow Bridge. But her friend sent her my picture and told her to come meet me. I was pretty skinny then and really scared and didn't look as spiffy as I do now. But mom saw past that, and it was love at first sight!
Three days later I was in my forever home with my mom and dad, and my new best friend Siberian Husky named Clarice. She's so pretty! My shelter people were very nice to me, but it's my mom and dad who really love me!
Now I get to run around and play all day and never have to worry about when I will eat next. And mom says I'm an "ambassador" for Pit Bulls. I think that word means I get to go everywhere with my family and meet new people! And I am always polite because I really like new people!
I am glad to be Dog of the Day. This will make my mom really happy, too!
