Violet
is a funny little dog who follows my mom everywhere in the house. When
she gets excited she does a little dance (spins around in circles) and the
longest tongue I have ever seen comes out of her mouth and just licks like
crazy! She isn't licking anything in particular, just licking the air.
Violet was a rescue dog, they just found her roaming the streets with filthy
teeth. Young Williams Animal Shelter picked her up, and had to remove all but
three teeth (two molars and one incisor). Small Breed Rescue pulled Violet
from the shelter and we became her foster parents, and just fell in love with
this adorable little dog. She loves to be petted, and if you stop petting her
for even a second, she takes her little paw and taps your hand with it. If
you still don't pet her she does the same thing, only this time with claws.
When Violet wants to get your attention she sits up on her butt, puts her two
paws together and begs until you call her, then she moves faster than a
cheetah to come sit with you. Violet is eleven years old (at least that's what
the vet said, although it's hard to tell with just three teeth). Violet can
be one of the most pathetic little dogs I have ever seen, because she only
has three teeth her tongue sticks out all the time and when she is really
relaxed almost her entire tongue just sags from her mouth. But don't worry,
she can still eat hard food. We think she is special and love her just the
way she is.
